RE: parenting issue........

I would suggest having a counseling session with both daughters, separately, determine the reason(s) they opened the account without your approval. Listen to what they have to say, then determine the consequences. If they lie, then the punishment should be harsher. However, when you decide the punishment, the length of punishment, explain the reason for your action, then don't waiver on the length or severity of the punishment. Remember, PEER PRESSURE IS TREMENDOUS in todays society.

RE: Cat getting bald spots

Did they check the cat's thyroid, an run a panel on the cat. If I was guessing, I would probably guess stress from the ordeal.

RE: D fuel prices...

I guess the Futures Market is back in business. A hint that the economy is recovering and the traders start playing the game.

RE: 3 year old terrorists

My father and mother had a set of rules that kept everyone on the straight and narrow. We received rewards for almost everything that we did, i.e. our tush didn't meet the switch over the door. My oldest daughter is very permissive and has little terrorists, except when they are around me. My youngest is in the Military and we accuse her of having recruits, not children, and they are extremely well behaved and have manners. By the way, the youngest is raising her children with my parents rules.

RE: New Bank Ripoff???

Upset their apple cart. Open an account, cash the check, then close the account. If they ask reason, explain it to them.

RE: onan generator problems

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? The quality of fuel available today is very marginal. I experienced the same problem, checked everything, and a mechanic friend told me to change the filter. Solved the problem.

RE: Walmart overnight fee

They even provide gormet dining inside the store, i.e. McDonald or the Deli. You can't beat that for convenience.

RE: Teenage employees, are they all dunb?

Isn't the majority of the teenagers the products of their enviroment? These kids are the Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren of the so-called Hippie Generation. The majority of their Grandparents/Parents had no discipline, and didn't have a work ethic until later on in life. They are not doing it because it's what they desire, it's because of the necessity to purchase school clothes and have a little spending money, especially in this economy. Let's give them a break as their deficiencies are the result of our broken educational system. Teachers now teach the test since they are evaluated on how well their students perform on the various test.

RE: Was anyone here in our Wal-Mart parking lot this AM?

Isn't it smart marketing on Wally Worlds part? When traveling, I'll pull into a Wally World to catch a few ZZZZZ's, better than killing someone on the road if you fall asleep. Only one problem with Wally World, can't figure out how to keep BH from going shopping.

RE: Help - Onan 7500 stops running after 3 minutes

Probably a fuel filter. Had the same thing happen, generator never surged, just quit running. With the quality of fuel on the decline, there are a number of RVers experiencing this problem. Since my Generator is on a slide, the first time I laid under it and changed the filter. What a pain. Next time I removed the housing side, made it alot easier and quicker. You can purchase the filter at NAPA.

RE: RV Center in San Antonio,TX

I would recommend Texas RV on Austin Hwy or Iron Horse RV. Pleased with both of their work, but have heard that Iron Horse can be rather expensive. Would not recommend Camping World.

RE: Letters from Son in Basic Training! VIDEO 10-6-09 (pg 16)

Congratulations on having a fine son. I guess the appropriate thing to say is "JOB WELL DONE". All of us of the older generation have fond memories of BOOTCAMP. I had the pleasure of that experience several times. Guess maybe I should explain, after my 1st Overseas tour I received an assignment as a TI/DI. Just what I wanted to do, NOT!!!! I have fone memories of seeing the kids (girls and boys)arrive as raw recruits, unsure of themselves, with no discipline, and leave as young men and women who had a goal. After I retired, my youngest daughter decided to join the military. When she left for Basic it was the hardest thing that I ever experienced, the realization that my baby was no longer a baby. Had a bad feeling that she wouldn't make it as she was a party animal. During parent day, I was amazed at the difference, she left as a party animal and halfway through basic she turned into GI Jane. Upon graduation from Basic all the parents were amazed at the maturation of their children into young adults. That's when I realized how parents really felt after their children graduated from basic.

RE: Just recieved email from the New Monaco.

Cannot imagine retaining a CEO that led the company into Bankruptcy by mismanagement. Not only were Monaco RV owners left in a crunch, imagine the number of dealers that repaired Monaco products under warranty and never were reimbursed by Monaco.

Travel Information

We are going to travel to Biloxi, MS to visit our daughter who is deploying. We would like to miss IH10 traffic through the middle of Houston. Looking at the Map we have an alternative, either 610 or Sam Houston Tollway. Really prefer 610, however would like to know how much construction delays we would encounter.

RE: How many miles travel in a day

I plan on ending my day driving at approximately 450 miles, that is approx 8 to 9 hours on the road. That enables a little recovery time prior to driving the next day.

RE: Eury Jr. out as Earnhart's crew chief

It was time for a change as Eury Jr could not adjust to the changes in the track during the race. IMHO, he should never have been brought over to be Jr's Crew Chief at Hendricks. When Jr was winning, who was the Crew Chief? I believe it was Eury Sr. Junior has talent, but someone has to be the boss, motivate the driver, call the shots, and not let the driver dictate the setup.

RE: DD is pregnant

You can always remind them "That they are paying for their raising". I remind my daughters of that constantly, especially when they are in the B mood.

RE: Outside Entry Door Latch on HR

Thanks for all the information. Unfortunately, I can see where the metal broke so it is not just reattaching the rods. It seems that RV repair shops in the San Antonio, Boerne, Cenral Texas don't carry them in-stock. KUDO's to Holiday World of Houston in League City as they provided a part number. I understand that Trimark redesigned the mechanism. Will call them as soon as they open their doors this morning. Again, thanks for all the information.
